   The Florence Pioneer Museum and Research Center is proud to present local author, Tracy Beach and her two latest books:

"The Tunnels Under Our Feet"

and

   "The Tunnels Under Our Feet" records Tracy's research of hidden tunnels under the streets of many Colorado towns. Tracy's investigations take her to Pueblo, Durango, Victor Cripple Creek, Canon City, Florence and many more! 

    Accompanying pictures in this wonderful book  show the "forgotten hollow sidewalks" of each town.

    "My Life as a Whore" is the biography of Madam Laura Evens--1871-1953. Laura was a madam in Salida, Colorado. Laura encounters, Baby Doe Tabor, Jack Dempsey, the Manassa Mauler, and Florence's own madam, Lilliam Powers .
