The Florence Pioneer Museum and Research Center has been rearranged into a time line of Florence history starting with our Native Americans, the Ute Indians,
going into the time of Jesse Frazer, the discovery of coal in the area, moving into the platting of Florence by James McCandless, the discovery of the Florence Oil Field and moving into the
hustle and bustle of modern Florence.
We still have many of the original displays in The Branden/Griffith Room with some new touches
added.
Our new front office look.
Our tribute to Jack McFall, local Florence surveyour.
Our 1909 coal and oil field map with the coal display. We have several phones that were originally used at the Double Dick
Mine.
School's Back in Session at the Museum!
