May 19th: Historic Pancake Walk--fundraiser by the Florence Pioneer Museum and Research Center!

On May 19th,  an  at-your-own-pace walking tour will be taking place at The Florence Pioneer Museum.

The Museum will be sponsoring a Historic Pancake Walk around Historic Florence!

Walkers will start at the Museum and be given a paper plate and directions to their next "ingredient" to complete a paper pancake breakfast. You will visit several historic places around Florence and learn about past railroads, churches, schools, libraries, other highlights of Florence and the town's founder, James A. McCandless on this 2 mile (approx.), 1 hour  walk.

At the end of the walk, participants will circle back to

100 E. Front Street for a pancake breakfast.

Walkers can arrive at the Museum any time between 7:00 a.m. (you early birds, you!) and 10:00 a.m. to get directions for your walk.

Don't want to walk, but want the pancake breakfast? Not a problem! Pay the registration fee and just sit down and have a bite! Breakfast will be served around 7:30 am.

Registration is  $10.00 per adult. Children 5  years- 12  years: $5.00 for registration.  Children 4 years and younger: $1.00 registration.

Can't seem to get a registration paper in before the walk? Not to worry.. last minute walkers are welcome. Registration and walk waiver forms will be provided at the time of your walk between 7:00 am and 10:00 am.
